Biography

Ezekiel Swayzee Georgewill – Professionally known as “SWAYVEE”

is a musician from Rivers State, Nigeria, born in Lagos, Barriga on the 17th of March, 2000. He was raised in Port Harcourt into a family that was not musically inclined.

He had no major interests in taking music professionally, it was just street rap battles, vibes, and cyphers. His rap battle alias was “FATAL EMCEE.” The name Swayvee was inspired by “Swavey,” which Tory Lanez defined as a lifestyle and a type of music done by musicians whose main stronghold is rap singing.

Swayvee started music professionally in 2018, claiming that he got the motivation from a woman whom he was in love with at that time, and he was signed into Etins record on the same year.

Going through phases, his major inspirations had varied over time from Mr. Eazi and Runtown down to Burna Boy and Wizkid, but his biggest influence of all time and globally remains Tory Lanez.

Come 2020, Swayvee started making Audiomack exclusive freestyles, which started from his mini fanbase on Facebook and has now grown rapidly, evolving into a community called “Shhtars.” Even though his songs were unofficial releases, they did very well.

His first major and official project was “Wild,” where he was featured by Yarden, who was also signed to Etins record. After “Wild,” he started his series of freestyles called “how to sway,” but at some point, the series was cut short for personal reasons.

Swayvee is a fan of astronomy, spirituality, magic, video games, and his hair. He places a lot of importance on his hair, it’s his favorite and most important part of his body. His logo and aesthetics revolve around an extraterrestrial concept, inspired by his love for spirituality, magic, and astronomy.

His first official single, “DMS,” was released on the 9th of April, 2020, under Etins Records. DMS revealed another side of SWAVE we never thought existed, showcasing more of his vocal capabilities unlike the regular calm and mostly laid-back style. DMS currently has 200k+ streams across all platforms.

In 2021, Swayvee became an independent artist and launched a creative brand called “Weirdsid3.” He also released an official project titled “The Lost Files.” The Lost Files EP is a dump of his art in its undefined uniqueness and versatility, exposing the vulnerabilities and imperfections of his craft.

The Lost Files EP includes great records like “Magical,” “All My Life,” “Olosho,” and “Waka Waka Baby,” sure to put you in a mood.

The birth of Weirdsid3, a creative directing company/agency, and a community that transcends the norms of creativity and spans across all forms of art brought about good projects from various creatives and also a single featuring Swayvee himself, titled “Escape.” Escape is an alternative record talking about the Weirs struggle to a love interest. Members of the Weirdsid3 community term “Escape” as the Weirs Anthem (Weirs: A member of the Weirdsid3 community).

Swayvee has teased his forthcoming project titled “The sWave Effect,” which will be his first official body of work. With no idea of what to expect, his fans are really excited about this one.
